Last year, over 350 Read Aloud volunteers visited 440 classrooms, reaching more than 9,000 children each week.
In conjunction with the Read-Aloud program, over 18,000 books were distributed, ensuring that the reading goes beyond the classroom.
For the students whose eyes light up when their “Rolling Reader” walks into the classroom, these visits are making a lasting impression. But the program is not only rewarding for the growing readers, as those bringing in the books benefit just as much.
