Our Read-Aloud program motivates children to develop a passion for reading and literature. Hundreds of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers devote time every week reading to the same classroom(s) of children during the school year. These sessions go far beyond just reading a story, creating life-long readers and life-long learners. Our Read-Aloud Program:

• Awakens children to new ideas and cultures
• Enables a sense of curiosity and critical thinking skills
• Offers children new vocabulary and other tools for self-expression

Public schools have faced debilitating budget cuts, and are more dependent upon volunteers, parents and community leaders to work together to maintain a healthy educational system.
